The Southern States Mule and Donkey Association (SSMDA) will host its third annual Mule Day Celebration on Saturday, October 17, 2009, at 10:00 AM, on the 331 ByPass.
LongEars and ShortEars Welcome!
This event will combine several activities into one and will included a Mule/Donkey/Draft Show, Obstacle Driving/Riding course, farmer’s market, Bluegrass music, arts and crafts sale, pony rides, a pet psychic, and antique plow displays and demonstrations, as well as many other family activities throughout the day.
There are usually various traders offering mules and donkeys for sale at this event.
Organizers are still seeking vegetable and livestock sellers, art and craft vendors, and musicians to exhibit and sell their wares on Vender’s Row. Applications may be obtained through the website www.wildmule.com. If you have questions, or need more information, please contact Anne Hancock at the BarnHouse Trading Company (850) 240-5876 or through email at bhtc@cox.net.
Guaranteed space reservation deadline is October 1, 2009, and Space Available on the day of the event.
Already several artists have signed up for the Art and Craft Event, which will be held on Vender Row during the Plow Day. At the last SSMDA meeting, it was decided to include as many farmers, artists, and crafters as possible to celebrate their "harvest", so we reduced the venders fee from $20.00 to $10.00. Registration deadline was also extended to October 1, 2009. Applications may be downloaded from the website www.wildmule.com.
